Here's a list of the games we've officially played, and dominated, as a guild: EQ1/Karana, EQ1/Sullon Zek, UO, DAoC/Merlin, DAoC/Andred, SB/Treachery, L2/Bartz, WoW/Executus, EQ2/Nagafen, AoC/Deathwhisper, WAR/Volkmar. We've been invited to every MMO beta; every single one. We've had unofficial splinter efforts in every MMO I didn't list -- with our usual success -- including the very first jedi in SWG. Our sum MMO experience is complete.
Since those early days, the Combine has had many spinoff and clone guilds formed in its likeness by admirers or ex-members. We are always ranked among the best and are considered an authority on any game we play. We are a PvP-oriented global gaming guild. We are not griefers, we only kill those that have it coming. Combine is always kept self-sufficient and makes its own decisions.
Our age range is from the teens to around 60 years old, with the average falling in the mid to late 20's. We are powergamers that also understand there is a life outside gaming. Real life always takes priority and in some cases members will retire temporarily until their situation changes. If a member retires, he can only come back when we're officially in a game and must serve 2 weeks as an applicant again. This is to prevent a revolving door mentality. We make up for not playing 24/7 by playing efficiently and we are usually well ahead of the curve. Members are expected to keep up to the guild level curve.
Members are expected to take death well with no whining or complaints. Members are also expected to never brag and no public gloating. There are consequences for making the guild look bad.
Rerolling characters while we're in a game is not allowed unless explicitly given permission. The only secondary characters allowed are bots and crafters if necessary.
Everyone is required to run Ventrilo when in the game. If your hardware or bandwidth doesn't support it, you are beat.
Ebaying currency, items, or characters is strictly forbidden in any game the guild is active. We don't care if you buy on eBay, only if you sell. That also includes anything you might've bought. No selling or trading away anything without the guild's permission until we leave the game. The guild invests in you while we're playing, to do this would betray that investment.
You must get to know us and let us get to know you in game. The application process lasts from a minimum of 2 weeks and you won't become a member before you reach the level cap. During that time members will evaluate you. If objections are raised, you will be provided the chance to answer them. If there is even one objection you will not be admitted.
Membership is a privilege, not a right. Getting in is a lot easier than staying in, we weed and trim our numbers constantly. We have high quality control and extremely low turnover, most that have left did so unwillingly.
In order to begin this process, you must register and post to our message board under Access and Membership Applications.
